She clung to his hand for the remaining hour that she had to push and after some pain and screaming later, there was a sound of a baby crying filling the air. The nurse cleaned it up before she smiled. "It's a girl..would you like to hold her?" At that Jackie just shook her head, sobs wracking her body so heavily that she turned to the side, throwing up into the garbage can that was there. The nurse took the baby over to the other side of the room, finishing cleaning her up and finishing the examination - its pitiful cries filling the room along with the sounds of Jackie's sobbing.
