Hi! Is there any relation to the boardgame "Fire in the east". Or to the new edition of it called "Total war" that is said to have a new OOB and map.

No, this has nothing to do with the board game of same name (or it's successor).
The confusion in names is bit unfortunate, but we'll discuss it when we get together in person this weekend.

The question is bound to come so its a good thing to be prepared for it. I am very interested in your project
as it must be one of the greatest challenges when it comes to computer scenario making. I guess you have studied
DNO. Barbarossa-41-Tactical,Brian Topps versions and a ver called "fire in the east". Were you involved in that? Have you seen my barbarossa map-41 posted at WHQ. 6km/hex.Its mostly founded on real german war maps. Regards GoranW

DNO have played a role in the development, in the sense of looking for ideas and as mentioned in the other thread as basis of the map, but OOB's were researched independant from that (by Søren), and events were also made from scratch.
Speaking just for myself, the other scenarios you mention have not been studied that much by me.

I have seen your Barbarossa map, and it's simply great. Problem is that it is 6km/hex. Even with 10km/hex we are running into problems getting all we want included within the limits of TOAW's allowed mapsize.
