They said there are potential Indonesian Chinese businessmen who want to buy timeshare resorts to offset their taxes. They will pay us at least 120% of what we had paid. Not sure how true is it. Told to pay $800+ legal fees if engaging their lawyers to complete the whole transaction (which will take 3 months), or I can get my own lawyers to do it. There will be full refund after 1 year if they are not able to sell. No hard-sell tactics from them, but I am not allowed to see the contract if I cannot make a decision. So, I just said I need to think, and left. Is there any way to check what they say is true? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: Fri, Dec 02 2005, 21:53:03 I have successfully sold my Australian Timeshare to a Sri Lankan National for S$4,500 which I paid $9,800 through a resale company called CROWN located on the 5th floor of Delfi Orchard and they charged zero fee till they found me the buyer. The membership was good as my wife and I loves Australia and travel there every year but the Developer kept raising the annual Management from A$365 back in 1999 to the current A$525 noting that in 1999 you only pay $0.80 to buy A$1 but now it went up to S$1.30...so not only the Sin dollar weaken against the Aussie dollar but the annual fee increases too.
