Me just when to GIC today. Told to pay S$698. Ask for their contract. Will refund full after a year if they are unable to sell. I walk away telling I need time to think.

I just went GIC a few days ago. They said there are potential Indonesian Chinese businessmen who want to buy timeshare resorts to offset their taxes. They will pay us at least 120% of what we had paid. Not sure how true is it. Told to pay $800+ legal fees if engaging their lawyers to complete the whole transaction (which will take 3 months), or I can get my own lawyers to do it. There will be full refund after 1 year if they are not able to sell. No hard-sell tactics from them, but I am not allowed to see the contract if I cannot make a decision. So, I just said I need to think, and left.

Is there any way to check what they say is true?
