Subject: Great reunion in bildersee may 08 fotos
the reunion went great last weekend in canarsie. We met as planned right in bildersee junior high school at 1pm saturday . almost 70 percent of the class showed up from 1973 to 77 they flew in from florida calif jersey long island. Even most teachers we could find came as well (we paid the hotels for those living far away). however many still teach in bildersee. We had lunch in the school cafeteria and even got scooter pies and those lil milk containers too.we faked a milk fight. We talked and took fotos and looked at the yearbooks. Many had their old notebooks with notes still legible.We recalled those days of strikes , blizzards, vietnam, laugh-in . We played the music from those days on the speaker system in the lunchroom.Mr. Mankowitz ,the lunchroom man now 68 flew up from Century Village florida to attend.we paid his stay
After we walked down the street outside towards flatlands avenue. The old milkboy store is gone but the candy place remains and still sells the bazooka gum and sugar daddys too. we grabbed a slice over on flatlands and bought great bagels on flatlands and 81st. still great taste but 3 bucks a dozen Finally we walked the halls of ol bildersee with the then principal who is now retired in boca raton .Finally we played stickball in the bildersee park after kicking the new kids out. We exchanged emails with friends teachers crushes etc. Next get together will be in sshs but maybe next summer07
This letter is fiction but how many of you would love this to be possible?? Nex summer 08 or 09 As usual ill be in brooklyn to visit family that refuses to leave. I always stop by canarsie to take fotos walk abit and always get a few x canarsiers to accompany me. Anyone with me summer 08 or 09?
anyway where is gwen sherman 82nd street Shes the only one i cant find from my bildersee grad class 9-1 1972?

couldnt believe those 2 still alive. Abraskin now retired after 35 years in bildersee and Binder from ps276 is a real estate broker in long island.
Both looked great.
I think nexy tears reunion of the 70s takes place in the portables of 276 or at ps 114.What about in the park at bildersee?
aaron minsky famous musician can play as hes a grad bildersee 72 and we got plenty of lawyers francine friedman griesing and doctors nieca goldberg and dentists reed ferrick jeff postal to lend a dollar maybe.
I only saw Neil korman a moment now a pilot in monticello .

Mr. (Arvin) Shapiro. You must have been at Bildersee in at least through 1978 or so, as you were my Science teacher in 7th or 8th grade. You may know my very good friend Bonnie Landis who stills lives in Brooklyn. My wife and I both have law practices her in New Orleans. Hope all is well.

What a reunion!
over 300 canarsie friends from the 70s.
I wore my converse levis and fruit o the loom t shirt to set the mood.
I had totally forgotten about the bagel shop and the king kong ride Where did they get the posters?
who found Cathy Zorri? reed ferrick? jeff Zuck? fran friedman.aaron minsky? jeffrey postal? perry frankel rot sheptinsky and i remember seeing john kwoka jeff norris,now a famous tc actor on comedy central.
Next summer 2009 we meet again but in bildersee park out doors in july.
ill lose the 10 lbs by then that i gained eating all those scooter pies and ring dings.

im judy estrin from canarsie. i was thrilled to meet the old gang after 30 years apart. When we turned 18 we each ran after our baloon thinking that wed catch our dream bsloon then turn and find our friends right there with their baloon.
But wen we turned around we discovered that our friends were no where in sight ,far away .
we didnt know and made no effort to keep together.
Reunions are great and internet gives me the pikup i need to once a week get back.

canarsie for some is a big THEN .they are so successful that they prohibit even the mention of their name here worried that a law partner or patient might google the name and share our stories of big lawyers past.
Canarsie was stoopball.the brook,makin out in a car ,plaza nosher and friends but lets try to put canarsie at a distance like the newspaper we hold out at armslength ..
we are 45/55 yr olds.

My friend gwen lost her mom then got really canarsieful and started looking 4 x friends like full time.
Francine is a lawyer in Phili and never thinks about it. Her life today is a continuation of that life. Shes now in 45th grade in philadelphia.
My pal reed the dentist in calif couldnt care less.
Going back there in your mind is OK
its a place where everything IS ok safe good happy warm and bubby is right there with the dog and youve got 2 months off coming up soon as youll go to the brook .
its before THAT LAST DAY....

the other day ifound myself looking at a digital cam pic taken onle seconds before .it was of me wearing levis a tshirt with hightop converse all stars.Behind me was the digital tv with late night reruns of mary tyler moore show
this digipic reminded me of an older 1970s pic
i dug up my ol shoebox of fotos to find the foto that i recalled amd it was me in 1970 sitting by the tv in my livinroom watching MTM on saturday night .wearing levis cons a tshirt..
life hasnt changed much
i must say putting on the cons makes my blood pressure go down it relaxes me and sends me to a happy place.
