What do you think this one means? If it
is "subject to approval" whatever they
are thinking presently violates the
national agreement. The International
has shown too much willingness in my
opinion to permit these sweetheart deals
that undermine superior agreements.
Alternate work schedules could mean the
end of the eight hour day, a value that
some union people died for. It could
mean no overtime pay after eight hours
until 40 hours had been worked. It could
mean working weekends without overtime.
It could mean being called in to work
four hours on Saturdayo or sent home
without pay if schedules were down that
week. These things have happened at
other UAW plants.It could mean a lot of
things. Do you want it here? Do you
believe that management wants anything
that would be good for workers, or to
workers advantage? Never forget:
