Top Super Farms are 1300hp at 640ci Top Pro Stocks are 2500+hp at 680ci Top Super Stocks make 2800+ anywhere from 436ci on up... Diesel's don't adhere to the same afr's alkies and gassers do. More fuel does equal more power. "Wasted" fuel is still expanding through the turbos and thus building more boost, ergo more power... Keep in mind that electronic fuel metering controls are prohibited in modern tractor pulling. Such controls would doubtlessly contribute to more power with moderately less smoke, but the cost/complexity issue will keep them banned for the foreseeable future... This is, after all, an off-road application sport. Is any more NOx, etc. being emitted by 30 tractors in 15 second runs than, say, 43 stock cars over a 500 mile race? I doubt it. Just because you can't "see" it doesn't mean it's not there. Google Rick Mast and see what I mean... CPR aka Charles Poosch CPR [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
