i am from Belgium,
i dont know how people react on being lesbian in Canada, here it is very normal
maybe she feels the same way for you, and she also doesnt know what to do, i really hope that for you ;-)
if it is really difficult to tell her, you can always try to write a letter to her, wherein you explain your feelings for you, and maybe your feelings about the situation you are in when she reads it's she gets the time to think about it ( if she needs time for it )
if she's not lesbian, or will not be in love with you, she maybe understands you and things will turn out ok but again, i dont know how canadian people reacts in a situation where a girl loves another girl

but i really hope she gets a big and happy smile on her face when reading your letter ;-)
