They don’t want to pull from the CS list. They’re not interested in the qualified (mostly) men who know this city inside out. They don’t want experience, they want someone they can bully and order around to meet their agenda. They’re always looking for some carpetbagging braggart they’ll offer the world to. We don’t need a police commissioner. Ridiculous. We need a Chief and a strong Deputy Chief, not some political hack. This mayor, and the council of mostly imbeciles, makes Andy’s administration, sssssssssnakes & all, seem highly competent - and that includes all the insanity of those years. Public safety was, is and will ever be the number one issue in Newburgh. Unless and until that is dealt with head on, this city will flounder despite all that big city money.
