Subject: 200k City Manager

You mean to tell me, according to the mid Hudson times, our new city manager is making 200k. No Police Chief, no human resource manager. How? turn over rate in PD because the salary sucks. OT in both fire department and PD because of layoffs, and councils apprehension to staff correctly due to budget constraint, and we now probably have the highest paid, or at least one of the highest paid local government officials. I hope the city keeps that same energy to make it's public safety salaries attractive to keep it's rank and file, and squash OT.
If we talk again of budget problems, we only need to look at council for imbecilic decision making. Lastly, didn't the council agree to give themselves a raise as well? That happened in the cloak of the pandemic. Gangsta (wankster) Harvey and company, making some real sound government decisions to put newburgh on track for insolvency, once this pandemic aid runs out. Stay tuned this year to some type of budget woe this fall!!!
