The assemblyman outright lied about meeting with the vets personally. He still has the fake story shared on his Twitter timeline. He was more willing to exploit vets for his own agenda to hate on immigrants. Don't forget all the others involved including Elise Stefanik,Heather Bell-Meyer(chair of the YIT board and Chairman/CEO of Orange County Chamber of Commerce), Laura Ingraham(and her fellow "journalists" who couldn't be bothered with calling the hotel for verification). This isn't simply a mistake, it's an example of systemic hate for immigrants and a fake support the troops trope- all the while ignoring the utterly embarrassing fact that there are still homeless vets in the US. But they- and the complicit Democrats- are calling for an investigation of YIT and Sharon Toney-Finch to take the heat off the disgusting politicians that ran with this fake story. They even fucking introduced legislation regarding it and the nutjob pig that took over for Molinaro in Dutchess county is crafting laws to prevent private enterprises from housing immigrants.
