Apparently the taxpayers are the public servants for the "public servants". This is what happens when you vote people into office for nothing more than "I like them" or "they're in my party". This council is one of the worst. Voting themselves raises, voting the mayor a larger raise(against the charter they swore to uphold), voting the non-resident City Manager 2 large raises over 2 years(again against the city's charter) and approving a $100million in debt for a public pool. Meanwhile a $32million project has just been completed that will house "homeless" from other places, importing more poverty instead of concentrating on the people and families who have lived here for generations. This is the state of our city. Serving others instead of ourselves. Taxing people out of their homes while opening doors for those who have never set foot here.
