Despite the CM allegedly not living in the city, the fact the State Comptroller found irregularities in the proposed budget is more concerning. It leads to the belief, that there are other malfeasances to be uncovered. This City government hangs it's hat on transparency, but that has come under question as of late. Our esteemed Mayor seems above reproach, in regards to disparaging comments on departments. Apologies never given for putting out false information in a publicly recorded setting, such as a council meeting. This whole situation stinks to high heaven. Wouldn't be surprised what else is beneath the crumbling surface. This seems all for naught, as no matter what is said, or uncovered for that matter, seems to never gain any traction for resolution! Wonder how the spin from the costly PR firm will frame this budgetary snafu. Also, I am interested to see if the CM will even acknowledge what has transpired in light of the Comptroller's findings? Guess we will. Have to stay tuned. Enjoy your holiday dinner.
