ok

"always in the Know" is definitely a misnomer. As a matter of fact, this level of ignorance is usually attached to propaganda sent out by the mayor or one of his minions. But I agree with a portion of his first sentence. The narrative that there was insufficient water supply is a completely fabricated narrative that is being used to cover up something. It is being used to cover up the fact that the fire department is woefully understaffed due to the incompetence and inexperience of the decision-makers at city hall rather than the incompetence of the fire department's duty chiefs. But I digress.

Before the city cut the fire department's personnel, when there was a fire, there would be 2 engines and one truck dispatched to a house fire. The first arriving engine would hook up to the hydrant closet to the fire and use the hose from that engine to fight the fire. the truck would search ventilate and rescue people from the fire building, and the second arriving engine, coming from a different direction would have some options. They could park at another nearby hydrant, and the firemen can use the hose from the first arriving engine to fight the fire. Another option would be to hook up to that second hydrant and use it to fight the fire using their own engine. In rare instances, they can use another hydrant or water source suggested by the water department AFTER they have performed one of the other options.

Due to the cuts implemented by the city, only ONE engine and ONE truck arrived at the lutheran st fire. Only four firefighters were initially able to fight the fire AND search ventilate and rescue (the drivers of each truck and the chief could not enter the building as they had their own duties to perform.) There was no second engine to hook up to a hydrant "that provides more than enough water and necessary pressure". There was no second engine to hook up to ANY hydrant-until an engine from a different city arrived more than 20 minutes later. It didnt matter if that first hydrant was hooked up to Niagara Falls. The reality is the fire wouldn't have grown to the proportion it did if the fire department had not had worse than skeleton staffing. There needed to be more firemen to initially fight the fire.

I think "always in the KNOW" is lying about what Wayne Vradenburgh said. If he is not lying, it should be easy for him to post some proof. I don't remember much about the fire at the lumberyard, but common sense tells me that a fire at a lumber yard would tend to be big, cause there's a lot of wood to burn.
