When the city had decent numbers, they fought fires in surrounding towns, especially Town of Newburgh!
As far as leaving families to cover city, you chose to be a volunteer, who gets tax breaks, and educational incentives. So save the woe is me shit. Maybe the volunteers should go paid! Then all the bingo nights, and in-house bar drinking would stop. Social club for degenerates, who couldn't get on the job by taking exams, and passing the CPAT, dating myself, I mean the FPAT. Taking jabd at city firefighters who have no say in the political world of Newburgh is a low blow, but I can remember many fires that were put out in the so called volunteer districts! Save that self-righteous BS. We know what the deal really is! I applaud those who volunteer for their communities, but once again don't attack the paid for what they worked hard for, and to no fault of their own, suffer from government blunders in leadership. I would like to see Newburgh go volunteer, never will happen, volunteer sometimes can't volunteer due to low membership, and non qualified interior FFs! If the public new how understaffed the volley world was, they would shit themselves!
