Heights Citizen, It seems they ( city government) is sweeping this under the rug. The city manager has a gag order on department heads. No information will come from the PD unless he clears the briefing. We're trapped in this non-transparent city. I feel for the youth this summer. What you speak of, as far as having the recently retired lieutenant come back is a great idea, but sadly I feel Mr Lahar would not be open to that. Most of the senior officers have left, and have no interest in dealing with the city. A hostile work environment has been created by Venning and co. You have to be a lap dog to survive here . That's why the Commissioner, Police Chief, and Human resource manager all have left! If the city knew what was really going on it would cause a panic. We are truly unsafe here, and the council knows it! So for Monteverde to say what she said is appalling.
