Subject: 211 Waiver

It has come to knowledge that the Fire Chief is a retired from Hartsdale Fire department in Westchester, earning 176k pension. However in NYS, you must attain what is called a 211 waiver to earn over the 30k limit imposed by NYS civil service. How is it, the Chief makes over 100k, but there is no waiver on file. If I'm mistaken I am sorry, but if not, how is this occuring? A past Chief was ultimately brought up on federal charges regarding this matter, coupled with wire fraud. I hope the City does the right thing, and publicly addresses this matter.
