I agree with you -- whether it is technically this or that doesn't dismiss the City's responsibility on safety. Several city boards were strongly opposed to the City backing the plans. Ramona Monteverde was the only council person to question the plan. Ms. Church vehemently defended parking on both sides and even believed bicycles would still be safe.

some day a strong council will review, not renew, the terms of the City's agreement with the state. among other issues, the City should be collecting parking fees along there. Let's face it, the waterfront area is the wild wild west.
