Right. Since Mayor Harvey was re-elected in November of 2023, and that term began in January 2024 it seems that he would be eligible to run for re-election in November 2027 and again in November 2031, correct? Interestingly Councilman Shakur says that he may run for mayor in November 2027, and the rumor is that Councilman McLymore may also run for mayor in that election. I don’t think for a minute though that Councilman McLymore will run if Mayor Harvey runs again in 2027.
