This is not accurate. Venning did not hire deputy police chief without knowledge or input from chief rola. Quite the opposite. Recently the PBA was going to issue a press release regarding the hiring of deputy chief position. But what they found out, clear as day in black and white….was that chief rola knew about the deputy chief being hired throughout the whole process. Chief rola was included in all correspondence (emails, conference calls, council meetings, work sessions, civil service commission meetings etc..). What the PBA found out was that the chief was a liar. And now a clearly documented liar once they foiled everything associated with the deputy chief hiring.
