Subject: Councilman Shakur’s grandson

As reported in mid Hudson news.com, Mr Venning has terminated the employment of the councilman’s grandson from the NFD. The councilman’s grandson was hired in March of 2022 and assigned to the firefighting academy. He flunked out of the academy, but was allowed to be paid as a firefighter while waiting for the next firefighting class. He apparently enrolled in that class, but did not successfully pass it. It is not clear when he was dropped from the class or when Mr. Venning terminated him. I’m sure Mr. Venning will not answer any questions that the press may have about this. Only in Newburgh!
