(sorry, long post...)
A small herd trots in...
the lead oviously a tall tobanio Quarter Horse. He goes around, nipping some, but mostly just wandering, looking relaxed, although he occasionally looks up for danger.......
Domino
I nip starbuck in the rump. Must she be so stubborn? We are almost halfway to the water source. If we can make it through these treched lands we will probably survive. I don't like the smell here, too much humans. The cattle aren't so bad, its the humans I don't like. Stretch doesn't look to good, the long travel is probably bad for his growing legs. How much he looks like me! He will be a fine leader when he grows up. He already is straying away... There goes starbuck again, must she always do this? The rest of the herd looks fine, a little tired, but fine. Except Memory. The limp in her leg is bad, though she's hanging through it well. Maybe we should stop here. Its not the best place to stop, but I want to move at night.
The lead mare looks to be a chestnut thoroughbred, although a little short for a thoroughbred. Her graceful legs trot in circles around the others. Her eyes are concerned but still caring. She occasionally nips at the others, although only warningly. A fine sweat surrounds her, making her coat shine in the evening sun.
Lucky
I trot in circles around everyone, making sure everything is alright. I glance at Domino occasionaly, sending a message of love and caring. I am worried for the herd. It is not very safe here, with all the humans around. What?!? We are stopping? Well... I guess that makes sence. We want to be on the run by night. I feel my legs collapsing beneath me. I would like very much to sleep standing, but I must regain my strengh. I know the herd will watch me...
As the group settles down, there is one mare, a deep chocolate color, who prances nervously, circling around before a harsh stare from Domino stops her. She walks over and stands by Lucky, watching over the lead in her sleep...
Starbuck
I cannot believe we are settling down here, of all places! I want to flee, but I must stay with the group. Domino isn't like he used to be, he's alot tougher, as if he's grown another shell. I'll watch Lucky. She has been so nice lately... I understand that she must be very tired.
Next to Domino, who is drifting to sleep, is a Tobanio mare and colt, the colt suckling, almost sickly, and the mare grifting to sleep.

I'm so hungry! Why do we travel so much? Mother hasn't told me anything....
Dies
There has been so much traveling. Stretch really does look sick. I suppose rest is the best for us, but why here? I might as well sleep, so I can awaken and continue tomorrow...
Nearby the small herd, there lays a sickly looking Dun mare, lying on her side. Domino lays close to her, comfortingly, as she rests fitfully
memory
I feel I cannot go on anymore. Do I have a foreleg? I cannot feel it... I feel so sick, I travel with a haze around my eyes. Were are we? Where were we going again? My mind is to young for this craziness... I must sleep...
