Never one to meddle with the freedom of the wild-born, the herd's presence caught his attention nevertheless as he indulged in a rare escape from his barn and property. He had left his vehicle aways back and had been idly wandering, simply enjoying the day. To lay eyes on wild beauties only made the day more wonderful. Catching the herd's overall sense of unease, he lingered back, leaning against a tree to watch them settle down. He knew people had successfully brought in wild horses from this place, but he could never bring himself to try– somethings are just too beautiful to be tampered with.
The plight of the dun, however, caused him to rethink that philosophy. Clearly she was ailing... Would it be best to attempt to save her or simply let Nature take her away? A tough call– who wouldn't want to preserve the life of a wild horse? But what wild horse wouldn't rather die than loose their freedom? The colt didn't appear to be faring all that well either... Remaining where he was, he gave a quiet whistle to let them know of his presence if they didn't already. Alone and without standard equipment to deal with an unruly horse, any decisions to make a rescue attempt would be useless if the stud was willing to violently defend them.
