I have lots of ideas but I'm partial to good old wool. Base layer: yeah, silk, thermax or something wicking. Next layers: polar fleece, insulated long johns (maybe two pairs). Outer layers: Like I said I like wool plus an outer shell. I'd look at what the Ididerod (?) people use. End of story. Their boots too. Head wear: Double layered pull-over mask with parka hood and natural fur trim. My Mom went to work in Alaska and the first thing the locals told her was spend 60-bucks and get her parka hood trimmed with wolf fur. She was told to bring a sleeping bag rated to -60 degrees. God speed. Papa [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
