OK, I'll agree, it would have made a nice conclusion to the series if they'd known for sure it was going to end.

Yeah, that was the problem with 50's tv, they never 'ended' a series in those days. They would just leave it dangling. I'm sure they had an idea that it would end and could have filmed an ending episode if they tried but, I guess, maybe it wasn't worth it and they just would stop with the last filming. The first series that I can remember filming an ending was the 'Fugitive'.
Anyway, we could have had a wedding and then little Purity's or Long John's running around the Cask n Anchor Inn!!! Let's try to picture that one!! Arrrrr
Elizabeth, why don't you write an ending to the series and post it? Of course, we still don't know what happened in the remaining episodes of the series. I really wish they would release them.
