Greg sent me a copy of his email reponse to Doug (I had also sent him a similar enquiry) I believe the Barksdale kepi is in the collection of The Museum of the Confederacy. As a Trustee of the Museum I have contacted the Senior Curator to ask for his assistance re. the details, (chinstrap material, type of buttons, visor material and so forth). As soon as I receive a response I will post the answers here so, whether you order one from Greg or from another source or make one yourself, the details should be consistent.
Will be in touch, kind regards to all,
The Old Major
