Been away for the weekend. Time to get rolling on this. Anyway, with 28,000 jackets coming in, that basically accounts for what, about 3/4 of the army? At the minimum somewhere in the really of 2/3's. Yeah, if only the depot folks used our modern terms for the jackets we'd be set! But either way, I'm in concurrance with the Bamy jackets being numero uno with CD jackets right behind. Then the other options work as well.

Even with those new issues though, there were certainly some men hurting for goods. In Sword's book there are several quotes about Federal dead, particularly Wagner's men who had been trapped forward of the main line, being entirely stripped of clothing.

Still, the ragged impression should be few and far between, at least for Spring Hill and Franklin.
