Subject: Authenticity of Texas Stars at Franklin

Although I have no desire to sew one of those nifty metal stars onto my hat, I am wondering about the authenticity of displaying said stars in our ranks at Franklin. I don't recall seeing any such item mentioned in the authenticity regulations, but some will likely want to wear them. Would such stars be Plain, Every day, Common (PEC) for this unit at this late stage of the war?

I have my doubts about the frequency of such emblems by November, 1864, but some may have documentation otherwise.
