Some people are big on having the name of someone there. Others not. If there is an issuance of names, I usually assume the sir or family name of the person I receive. Although I'm interested in the fate of a particular person, there's really no way I could portray a twenty or thirty something who'd seen several years of service. I feel like I'd be dishonoring rather than honoring the individual.

Not having a second sergeant in the roster of the consolidated company, I won't be too bummed if I don't receive a name. I'll be content to be 2d Sgt Silas ______ although I am curious about the fate of the sergeants in the original unit. Had there been a second sergeant, I'd feel a little different.

Silas
