Silas - info is out of the CSR's and is in the new book by Lundberg, The Finishing Stroke, Texans in the 1864 Tennessee Campaign. The entire brigade roster and casualty lists are in the back. Most of the dead and missing/ presumed killed are "grave unknown" but there are the three in McGavock as listed. It appears the CSR's were the starting point to do some digging into more info, checking graves, etc.

The number of killed in the 6th is at least 10 - in addition to the 3 you site Miller, Taylor (Adolphus) and Wilson (although it is JW not TK Wilson) there are another 7 known dead,

Co C Crozier, W.A. grave unknown
Co D Mahaivier, A. grave unknown
Co E Thompson, E. sec 5, grave 63 McGavock
Wakefield, J.J. sec 5, grave 64 McGavock
Co G Morris, S. W. died in the home of Mrs S.F. Glass
Co H Kulenthall, E.C.T sec 1, grave 4 McGavock
Muckey, B. sec 1, grave 6 McGavock

The 6th had at least 20 men captured and the 15th had at least 14 men captured in addition to the dead and wounded.

Our company had 29 men total - of those 6 were killed, 3 wounded and 5 captured, or 48% casualties. A tough day.

Unless you had this book and access to the notes of the author, you would not have known.

Doug
