Berliz was born in Lagunilla in the State of Zulia and raised with her brother and sister in a town called Bachaquero, it is a small town in Venezuela known for its oil industry. Currently a student at the Universidad Delk Zulia (Luz) Odontologie; her ambition is to qualify as an orthodontist. She is also a part time model. One of the most interesting jobs she has had to date was working as assistant organising integration activities for children with special needs.

What is the best thing about your country?

In Venezuela, I like the people because they are warm, they are also very joyful and have a good sense of humour.

What is your favourite?..

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?

I would like to win this pageant in order to grow, promote my country�s name and help those in need.

If you were stuck on a Desert Island with one other person (famous or not) whom would you choose?

I would choose Tom Hanks �Cast Away� since he since he should know how to survive in that situation.

What is your message to all the other Miss World contestants?

My message would be to participate in the pageant, always giving it their best, without envy or bad intentions, so that when it is all over, each one of them knows they did well, without hurting anyone.

You�re judging the final five contestants, which question would you ask the finalists?

My question would be: If you won the Miss World pageant what would you do during your reign, in order to be worth of a tribute?
