Hi Lisa, I had a really nice day. I spent a lot of time working on my journal (mine's handwritten). My Aunt Nancy sent me an absolutely gorgeous dishgarden. I had said I wanted flowers or a dishgarden in some type of vase that would be a keepsake, not a glass vase. And boy she did great. This is it:
My brother was able to call me today twice so at least I did get to hear from him. Normally Mom, Dad, Aunt Nancy, Mark, and I go for crabs but Aunt Nancy had to have tests done tonight and wasn't allowed to go alone so Mom took her. Mark, of course, is unavoidably detained, so Dad I and went out for crabs. Mom and Aunt Nancy will take me again another night soon. It's a family tradition and it's a great one so I still loved it. I adore spending time with my family either together or one a time or however I can.
The crabs were good but not as good as usual but the REALLY cool part was the owner has known us almost 20 years just from going to his crabhouse. He told me tonight that he really likes my family, has a lot of respect for us, hates what I've been through, hates what Mark is going through and wanted to show how much he cares for us. THE ENTIRE DINNER was on him. He waited to give me the money back when Dad was in the men's room and said don't tell him until you're outside because I know he'll get mad and will try not to let me. Fortunately Dad said outside that he was going to come to my house. That's where I gave him the money back and told him what the owner said. That was AWESOME! Dad didn't even get mad, he was really taken by that.
Dad wanted to come home with me because he too had a dishgarden for me!! And a balloon. I love his dishgarden also. Aren't they beautiful?? I managed to take a "timer" shot with my camera. Here we are:
All in all, it was a good day and I don't mind saying I'm 41 because when you've been where we are.... we celebrate life in years a lot better! They are milestones!!
