My dad seems to be his usual self. A couple weeks ago, he came home from chemo to find a broken water heater, and he replaced it himself. Having a week off after every 3 weeks of treatment seems to help. After the third week, my mom has said he seems very tired. Then he perks up again. And he still seems to have his usual sense of humor! He's doing pretty well for someone 78 years old.

I'm so glad that your father is doing well both physically and emotionally. Like my nurse says... "as long as you wake up on this side of the dirt today, it's a good day!" She also believes and so do I that cancer patients need to continue to "live" their lives. It really helps in their attitude.

My parents were upset that they missed my niece's high school graduation last weekend--their first grandchild to graduate. But that would have been a 300+ mile drive, and dad wasn't really up to it. But other than that, he's doing a lot of his usual stuff. I think he tries to pretend that there's a big "S" on his chest, and a cape on his back!
