The organized Catholic Church is already a very strong force aginst women reproduction right, gay and lesbian civil rights, and children religious right. It is my concern if it combine force with the anti-human rights, anti-civil rights Evangelical Fundamentalist Churches, human rights and civil rights for the general public would be under serious threat because of this 'merge'. I'm not against unity. But combining two anti-human rights force is not a good thing for anyone, especially not for the future of Christianity. Let the Catholic Church clean up its anti-human rights, anti-children rights church rules and dogma first. It has to do a lot to gain any trust from anyone after they have treated victims of children abuses under the hands of priests and nuns for so many years. It is not that easy to forget children were raped in Catholic Churches, or children were abused by Catholic run organizations like the Magdelene Sisters. As long as these organized churches have continued to disrespect human rights, I think it is much better if these churches suffered from internal problem, go backrupt or just died out deal to lack of participants, then to get stronger by merging together in so-called-unity.
