You think you're stronger than me.

Adrian heard hooves pounding sand, and he knew perfectly well that these sounds were not coming from his own. He was propped in an undignified fashion against the tree, keeping the squirmy feline uncomfortably sandwiched. The stallion chanced a glance in the direction of the noise's source. He stared transfixedly at the inbound form of Hexed as he charged forth. Yay, maybe he wouldn't have to be Dark Hearts' personal scratching post anymore. The auburn was being raked to a mere wisp.

The impact did not come soon enough. Adrian's senses reeled from it, and for a second or two, he could not see at all. That's when he felt the cat plant a solid bite into his neck. The bay fought not to scream. Trembling from his own effort, he noticed that the cat eventually tore away from him. Relief, but not for long.

Vision hazy, Adrian witnessed as the cat stumbled about. He also saw Hexed panting to the side. It was Hex. It was Hex. The black-pointed male swayed as the blood left him. But why? He took and unsteady step backwards, dark eyes watching the Light King warily. What was going on here? Is this a trap? The auburn also glanced towards the cat, who seemed to be both coming and going. He felt dizzy, he felt ill.

The bay could barely hold himself straight.
