Hex felt the tension in Elven as she withdrew, sensed as well as she did the evil aura that had descended on the Isle. Following quickly, he took in the scene, fury filling him. Chocolate brown eyes turned pitch black as he launched his sorrel body forward. He barely noticed the figure of his father, didn't slow his progression one whit. His sister was surrounded by a horde of cowardly Evils. He figured they knew they couldn't match Elven's fighting skills one on one, which is why they attacked en masse. Hex planned on leveling the playing field.

Not breaking stride, the enraged stallion cut a swathe through the mass of equines, ears pinned and teeth bared. Muscled appendages pounded the soft earth mercilessly, driving him closer and closer to the being he fully intended to annihilate. Swerving around Elven's body, Hex braced his shoulder and threw all his weight at Firelight. No one messed with his sisters. For that matter, nobody messed with his family. Period. Perhaps this impromptu visit from the Evils would settle one thing once and for all. Hex was determined to make the stupid horses regret ever thinking of invading his shores.
