I agree the way i look at it..the 2 refs that were doing NRL should fight for the NRL and the loser is on stand-by( which is what happened with Paul Simpkins being on stand-by) and then you have the 2 refs doing NYC, they fight it out and the loser is stand by for that match. This also happened last year with Jarred Maxwell and Ben Cummins going back at the start of the semis to do the Premier League, with Jarred getting the Grand Final centre and Ben on stand-by. I dont see why they changed the system, to me it leaves a bitter taste in quite a few mouths.
