The day they got rid of the metal badges was a great day in refereeing - they ruined your shirt - used to rub against your skin, and no matter how hard you tried, someone would always complain that it wasn't on straight. Of course if you forgot it it was something akin to committing mass murder.

I've still got mine but we must move forward with the times. There are much bigger issues in refereeing than a metal badge.
