At the NRL we have a Leadership Group similar to that which exists at clubs. They instituted a code of conduct which the referees themselves enforce. Steve apparently breached a condition of the code and was stood down for a week. He is back this week so you can see that while the Leadership Group viewed the breach seriously, it isn't earth shattering stuff. The nature of the breach is between Steve and the Leadership Group.
