The epidemic of AIDS in Mexico

The General Assembly,

Realizing that all countries have a right to live in an area with out sickness such as A.I.D.S the UN should try to help decrease the amount of A.I.D.S in Mexico because it says that everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care.

Aware that A.I.D.S in Mexico is not as bad as some of the other countries in the world however it has been on the rise in the last few years

I. Mexico Expresses Deep Concern

(A) Latin America is tired of an epidemic called AIDS. It has been spreading and infecting more people in our country in the last phew years.

(B) The resulting deaths of young innocent children and adults in Mexico shows that the UN should help provide protection against AIDS in Mexico.

(C) The AIDS epidemic has also endangered many innocent people they still need to do all they can to help prevent AIDS in Africa.

II. Mexico Is Aware That

(A) AIDS would be impossible to terminate

(B) Recognizes that any help Latin America could get to decrease AIDS would help very much

(C) Is aware that AIDS is a very bad disease and needs t be slowed down as much as possible.

III Recommends

(A) That the Security Council:

1. Strongly advise medical plans for people who cant afford them such as the elderly and the homeless

2. Be given money for more and advanced AIDS research

3. Impose all Latin Americans be checked for AIDS so they know how much medicine would be needed

4. Set up a council that will determine the monetary cost for everything that will be needed to help reduce AIDS in Latin America.

5. Set up a hospital where people can go to find help or be checked for having AIDS

6. Set up a UN team charged with figuring out what it will take to help AIDS in Latin America

7. Communicate the intent to help AIDS be prevented in Latin America to all the citizens
