Good way to end it too. I totally agree. God and religion are for the living - a way of giving people something to hang onto and live by. Better they should just live by the Golden Rule and forget the other stuff.

I think Jesus lived; I think further that he was probably a kind of a rabble rouser who may have been given to delusions of grandeur; I think he probably was executed on the cross since that was the preferred method in those days. But like Chris I don't believe in an afterlife. I think that we evolved over centuries and when our lives are over we die and our bodies return to the earth in the form of energy to sustain the living as they move toward their death (a little like fertilizer) and so in goes in a cycle of life and death.

As far as the Bible stories, Adam and Eve, Noah's Ark and the parting of the Red Sea - all I can say is it's insulting to any logical person's intellect. Nuff said...
