You're right Diva, WE shouldn't have to pay higher premiums because of the hospital/doctor mistakes. But, WE DO - it's a fact and you can't escape it by logic and reason. It is what it is...

Another fact is that the $30 million award was overturned which, pending a successful appeal by Fieger, means that the family gets nothing, nada, zero. All I'm saying is that had Fieger asked for a more reasonable amount of $10 or $15 million, the award may have stood, and $10 million in the hand is worth a hell of a lot more than $30 million you don't get.

Life ain't fair, never has been - never will be; and we can rant and moan and beat our breasts till hell freezes over and it isn't going to make it fair. Fact is the family got goose eggs - is that fair? Certainly not, but if they had settled for or won $10 million and Fieger got one-third of that they would be about $7 million better off than they are now.
