The boy smirked: many accused him of being too direct. He didn�t have time to waste let alone use� but in his speediness, he had forgotten to mention his name. �William Leverett,� he said, �Will is what they call me.� No one had called him William for years. The fact was he hated that name, but it stuck and he couldn�t shake it out of his mind. Part of him wished for simpler days before his so-called parents had tossed him out. But that part was weak and quiet.

�I though it was obvious.� Will pointed to the blue-black candles, �You been sleeping or something?� He grinned, snapping his fingers so the flame would gather at the place of friction. It was like a tiny ghost there, cold and smokeless. He could make it hot and blinding, but there was no use scaring off the girl.

She was dancing around his question, he didn�t like the slowness but it would have to do. Eventually something had to be mentioned. Patience was not his best quality.
