The ride was almost silent until they got there and went in with Brendan, letting out a soft breath as he looked around. This wasn't the kind of place that he wanted to be, much less have her be there but there wasn't much that he could to persuade her to leave. They stepped into the investigation room where the detective look up, his head cocked to the side. "Davenport...we've been expecting you." The balistics of the bullets at the scene had taken it back to the gun registered to Jake but the weapon had Adam's fingerprints on it also...

She wasn't mad at him - scared for him, and herself too, really - but she more importantly at this moment, she was worried sick about her beloved big brother, and it seemed her daddy was the only sure constant in this equation.
