• Buttoning up her coat, she just nodded to her dad but then turned to face him before they left, brows deeply furrowed and features clearly distraught - but she was never one to fall into a weepy mess. She just had all these visions of him being some hero and her brother walking out of there a free man, but only at her boyfriend's expense, and she refused to lose either of them. The ride was almost silent until they got there and went in with Brendan, letting out a soft breath as he looked around. This wasn't the kind of place that he wanted to be, much less have her be there but there wasn't much that he could to persuade her to leave. They stepped into the investigation room where the detective look up, his head cocked to the side. "Davenport...we've been expecting you." • Her jaw set, she eyed the detectives suspiciously and curled one hand around her dad's arm, gaze shifting just to watch Adam as the men spoke to him. She wasn't mad at him - scared for him, and herself too, really - but she more importantly at this moment, she was worried sick about her beloved big brother, and it seemed her daddy was the only sure constant in this equation. • Her brows furrowed gently as she sat stiffly on the edge of a chair - eyes shifted between her brother and her boyfriend as she listened to the story in disbelief. She couldn't believe that they would do something so ridiculous, yet it seemed that there were few questions on if in fact they had done it, and more on the how and the why. Partway through the spiel, she just stood - pushing the chair back as she did and headed out the door of the room and into the hallway without another look to either of the men. • Adam's hard shell faultered for just a moment at her sudden departure before he let out a soft breath and turned his attention back to the detective. After thirty minutes, Brendan came out, dropping down beside his daughter and holding her closely to his side. "Honey..." She would never be able to chose between her boys - it would kill her to know her brother was locked up for years and years, and she knew that it would do horrible things to his mind, but she didn't think she could stand it if Adam was gone...
