He shook his head slowly, letting out a soft breath. "it's not very good, sweetheart." He pursed his lips, his brow furrowed as he gazed down the hall at the interrogation room where the boys were. "If this gets pinned on Jake, he's going away for a long time..." There was no sense in hiding the facts from her - it was obvious what was going on and she was a smart girl. He shifted to press a reassuring kiss to the top of her head before he sighed and sat back, not sure what to do right now. It wasn't like people didn't know who he was, the cops still trailed him occasionally even though it had been years since he had been gang related. "But Adam..." Was her only soft protest, brows furrowing in obvious confusion. There was no way that this was going to end well and she didn't know what to say, or do, or even think. She couldn't think that Jake would get off, because that would mean sending Adam to jail... But if Adam got off, her brother would take a major hit.
