Subject: Kriya and Awakening

Someone asked Buddha if he was a God or a Demon or this or that thing. Buddha always answered No, finally when asked, "Well what are you" said, "I am awakened".

What is this awakening that Buddha refered to? He spoke of the " Dharma", which is the the "Will of God", and that Nanak refered to as the "Flowing Pen of God". It is found even in a birds song, which is a beautiful manifestation of Gods word.

It is being awake to the controlling power in the universe which is also within each human being. All of the bliss and exalted states found in the practice of Kriya Yoga, that can be experienced with or without Kechari Mudra are only waypoints to the awakened state, where one sees this power working. It is a matter of ridding oneself of mind and its activites that hinder the view, going beyond the Three Gunas. Kriyas ultimately are for this end alone.

Do not get hung up in modified states of consciousness and claims of superior practice methods(there will always be a better one just around the corner). Do what you are taught and pray for sucess, eventually the prayer will become "Not my will but Thy will". It is a matter and manner of surrender. There is a reason for the path you have been connected to-for your time in this world. Not everyone has to be on the same path. What is best for one person, may not be best for the next. Some people are not suited for 8 hours of continuous practice daily, but suited for a more gradual unfolding. We are all on the way, and the time factor is necessary.
