Your claim that P Yogananda introduced open mouthed breathing is quite simply wrong. The open mouthed technique is the way Kriya was taught by Sri Yukteswar. This fact is verified by other lineages descending from Sri Yukteswar (I do not mean Hariharananda). Furthermore it does not appear to have been an alteration introduced by Sri Yukteswar as it is also taught in other lineages such as that of Swami Keshabananda.

You do not seem to understand that your way is not the only way Kriya was taught by Lahiri Mahasaya. There are other equally correct methods.

Of course one to one instruction is preferable to any mass teaching method, provided the teacher is competant. P Yogananda admitted as much in "Autobiography of a Yogi." However, there is not sufficient supply of high quality teachers. The question for most of us is whether written and standardised instructions from a genuine guru are preferable to sub-standard teachings given on a one to one basis.

Furthermore Kriya Yoga is not simply a matter of learning and practicing techniques. The guru's blessing is much more than that. Swami Pranabananda practiced Kriya intensely and correctly for years but did not attain the experience of the divine until his guru interceded for him. Would you be able to do that for one of your followers Ashok?

You have been asked to provide us with some means of checking your credentials, but you have repeatedly failed to do so. All you have provided is a URL of Arya Mission, which most of us know anyway. I wrote to them asking about you, but they have made no reply so far.

"If a so called authorized Guru of Kriya, like Yogananda, can make so many blunders in changing Lahiri Kriya..."

I think this gives away your true position. For you Yogananda is a "so called authorized Guru." You are promoting yourself as someone who is here to correct the "blunders" of P Yogananda who you regard as a third rate yogi. You wish to set up a "network" (not to be confused with an organisation) with yourself as the head, and you wish to collect donations from your followers. In short your own cult.
