Dear Ketch, Shivnath,
I have both the requirements of becoming a Guru. I had an inner calling, and I have spent same amount of time in Kriya Yoga as in my engineering career, and I got the authority to teach Kriya by my Guru Maheshwari. I have taught engineering and students liked it. I always worked for the manufacturing companies like Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, Hughes; so I was not able to find time to be a full time engineering teacher. My calling to start teaching Kriya Yoga came because of my own struggle to find the correct practice. I shared my research with fellow Kriyaban and they kept asking more about Kriya from me. So I got the permission from my Guru Maheshwari to do so. Following that I started one-to-one Kriya teaching and the students immediately noticed the difference in their good Kriya practice in what I delivered. They said that the acclaimed teaching of the SRF appeared very impersonal and devoid of guidance compared to my way of teaching it, which is based on Lahiri/Panchanon guidelines. So the proof of my teaching is based on the students’ satisfaction. That is why I want to do it. Not because I am authorized. I am very sure that already I have students who will make class one Gurus, and they will leave the best known and first and foremost SRF way of teaching in the dust of impersonal and mass assembly line dry mud. So in the real world, if the SRF can teach Kriya, I am certainly able to do a far more justice to the Kriyaban and so will my students as Gurus of the future. If a so called authorized Guru of Kriya, like Yogananda, can make so many blunders in changing Lahiri Kriya, like introducing Hong-Saw, Mouth breathing, wrong and detrimental jerks of the head in the advanced Kriya which puts disturbing negative impulses in the practice, eliminates Ketchari, eliminates Navi, performs mass initiation... which is not an initiation at all ... without the fire ceremony (Yagya) and Upnayan; all this contrary to Lahiri teachings of Kriya Yoga;….. then I have full confidence in my authority. True Guru is not who only brandishes his certificates, true Guru is one who has the certificates and passes on the correct knowledge and practice, and the students are satisfied by the one-to-one guidance. It is high time that someone intervened and expose the so called authorized Gurus. Besides, Einstein had no advanced degrees, yet he contributed to the scientific world better than the certificate holders.
There are students of mine who will not want to teach, but if they did, they will make better Gurus than what we have now. Jai Guru!
Are you promoting cult hood and live in a cult mentality? Rajnish is long gone, others will too.
Ashok
