My own initiating teacher was trained at Karar Ashram,by direct disciples of Giri Maharaj(not Hariharananda). He does not consider himself a master,so he simply passes on the teachings he received. As such he is very conscientious about teaching without personal innovation.Hong Sau was taught by Giri Maharaj. Please do not use offensive descriptions such as blunders when you are writing about Yogananda.Yogananda is not in my lineage was he was an intensely loved elder brother.Yogananda is looked up to,referred to and prayed to by all of us.Maybe his going public seemed distasteful to the more reserved members of the Kriya tradition, some of them very accomplished yogis themselves.BUT YOGANANDA WAS ANSWERING A REQUEST FROM MUCH MUCH HIGHER SOURCES. It is undeniable that he has been pivotal in the raising of thousands of peoples consciosness in a way that none of the others could.Maybe he wasn't greater than his more reserved contemporaries, but he was CLEARLY the man for the job.
